Day 01 – Arrive in Baku

When you arrive in Baku Airport, you will be met with our driver then you will be transferred to your apartment. You will check into apartment and fresh up.

Day 02 – Baku City Excursion BAKU CITY EXCURSION 10:00 – 20:00

First, a guide and a driver meet the guests in the lobby of the hotel. The tour starts at 10.00 am. Start sightseeing tour in Baku. Visit Memory Alley – “ShehidlerKhiyabany”, from where you can have a great panoramic view of Baku city

At 11.00 am the guests will be taken to the Old City. The Old City of Baku is protected with the Preservation walls remained since the VI century. The guide introduces the Old City’s history to the guests while they are travelling. The historical places such as Karvansaray, Maiden Tower, old labyrinth streets, mosques, souvenir shops are showed by the guide during the Old city tour. The guests then visit Azerbaijani historical museum Shirvanshah Palace which is among the monuments with the Old City. In the mentioned museum tourists will enter throne room, shah’s burial place, mosque, tomb, and shah’s bathroom.

Maiden Tower

The height of the Maiden Tower is 28 m, its diameter in the first floor is 16,5 m. The thickness of the wall in the first floor reaches to 5 meters. The internal area of the castle is divided into 8 floors. Each floor was built with hewed stones and covered with dome-shaped roof. The castle began to act as the museum since 1964, and included in the list of world heritage of the UNESCO since 2000. There are circular holes in the middle of these roofs laid from stones. The holes are in the direction of vertical line. So that, when looking through the hole in the middle of the roof of the VIII floor, it is possible to see the floor of the first floor. The old city tour continues till 1.00 pm, and further

the tourists go to Nizami street which has brand shops and boutiques, as well as, the old architecturally well-designed buildings.

Boat trip: At the same time – you can admire a unique panorama of Baku, with the opening of the sea.

Boat trip in Venice:

“Little Venice” in Baku Boulevard is a small town built in 1960. It was expanded up to 10.000 sq.m. now. Boats are provided for 4 people: one is designed for guide and the rest – for passengers. 20 : 00 Transfer to your Hotel

 

Day 03 –Absheron Tour + Gobustan + Mud Vulcano + H.Aliyev museum

ATASHGAH AND YANARDAG EXCURSION

ATASHGAH

The temple built in Surakhani village near Baku city by fire-worshiper Indian merchants – Parsees in the XVII century. The visiting Parsees heard that there was a place with burning natural gas near Baku and when they came there they saw inextinguishable flame there. They decided to build a temple over that flame and it was called “ATASHGAH” (“Place of Fire”). “ATASHGAH” being a fire temple is situated in the distance of 30 km from Baku in the south-eastern part of Surakhani settlement in Absheron peninsula. “ATASHGAH” is a fire temple built in the place of inextinguishable flames in the XVII-XVIII centuries. The stable being earliest construction of the temple belongs to 1713 of our age, the central temple-altar was built on account funds of merchant Kanchanagara in 1810.

Yanardag

The natural monument with no history known, flamed in the result of extraction of natural gas in the territory of Mammadli village, in the coast of Caspian Sea in Absheron peninsula near Baku city. It is situated in the distance of 27 km from the center of Baku city, 2 km from the center of village, in the left direction of Mahammadi

– Digah highway. The burnings in the territory were arisen in the result of washing of rocks in oil-gas deposit layers in the depth of earth, techtonic breaks, as well as mud volcanos – in one word in the result of volcanic-techtonic processes, in the result of burning of natural gas extracting to the surface through cracks. Sometimes, the height of the flame in Yanardag reaches to 10-15 m. The information in respect to burning in these areas happened even from the ancient times was confirmed in the result of geological researches conducted in the area, and through the historic sources given, and the history of these burnings refer to the periods B.C.

Gobustan & Mud Volcanes

Gobustan state historic-art reserve – the reserve where the complex of archeological monuments are protected in the territory of Azerbaijan. The Reserve is situated in Gobustan settlement of Garadag district, 56 km far from the capital Baku. Also museum acts here. Mainly Mesolite monuments (Middle part of the Stone age) are exhibited in the Reserve. There are caves, springs and etc here.Gobustan was known by Azerbaijani cattle-breeders as a pasture. But, the material-cultural remainders and the descriptions on the rocks were firstly discovered by professor Ishag Jafarzada one of the archeologists of Azerbaijan in 1939 – 1940 . The investigations were stopped in respect to the Great Patriotic War started in 1941 and continued in 1947. I.Jafarzada has recorded more than 3500 human and animal drawings and various signs –petroglyphs drawn on 750 rocks by forging, carving and rubbing as the result of difficult scientific researches and investigations , discovered 20 shelters under rocks. “Gavaldash” named musical instruments in Boyukdash and Jingirdag are estimated as the greatest invention of ancient gobustan inhabitants. How much discovery of arrow was needed by the people of tribe for their living, so much the creation of musical instrument of percussion – “Gavaldash” was important for enjoying the musical tastes and arranging the dance and music ceremonies. The height of ancient people reached to 2 m. The structure of “Gavaldash” in Jingirdag is such: there are two flat stones and the third one placed on them on the slope of the hill. The third one is flatter than the stones below. There is a cavity between the stone on the top and those below and the air flowing through the valley passes through this cavity.

Heydar Aliyev Center is a cultural center, projected as a complex structure that includes the Auditorium (convention center), a museum, exhibition halls, administrative offices. The project center has been designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid. Heydar Aliyev Cultural Centre is considered to be one of the symbols of modern Baku.

the tourists should have their baggage packed and do check out from the hotel. At the agreed time and according to the guests’ departure details, the driver will be waiting for them at the hotel for the transfer to the airport.
